Bonspiels Save the Dates and Open for Registration!

For those looking to play in bonspiels within the MoPac region, below is a list of current and upcoming events. Please check back frequently for updates and newly posted events. To submit information about your club’s upcoming spiel, use our Bonspiel Information button, below.

For a list of bonspiels that typically happen throughout the year, here’s is a list of spiels to assist with future planning.

1. MoPac
   • Men and Women Club Playdowns January 16-19, 2025. San Francisco Bay Area Curling Club. Registration is open now through December 15, 2025 via Sport 80. See event and registration info here.
   • MoPac 5&U  February 21 – 23, 2025, Curl Vegas. 5&U National qualifier event. Register here!
   • MoPac Seniors Bonspiel SAVE THE DATE March 28 – 30, 2025, hosted at Lake Tahoe Epic Curling Club. Join us for the 3rd MoPac Seniors Bonspiel (curlers age 50 and older). “An event for the ages”! Registration opening soon. Check back here for details.
2. Coyotes Curling Club
   • Donna Purkey Classic March 21-23, 2025. Join us for a weekend of competition and friendship. Includes Saturday night banquet, continental breakfast, and awards for each of 4 events.
   • Spring Training Bonspiel February 28-March 2, 2025. Spring Training game option and Baseball Banquet Saturday night,
   • Desert Ice Bonspiel April 25-27, 2025. Saturday night banquet, continental breakfast, awards for each event. Longest running coyotes bonspiel.
   • Hotter Than Hell Bonspiel July 11-13, 2025. It’s a Dry Heat! End your season on a high note! And don’t miss the post spiel trike race!
3. Lake Tahoe Epic Curling
   • Wine and Chocolate Spiel. February 8-9, 2025. Registration opens December 13, 2024 and closes January 26, 2025 @ 6pm PST..
   • Spring is in the Air Spiel April 25-27, 2025. Registration opens February 20, 2025 (Closes April 10th or earlier if full).
4. Ogden Curling Club
   • Rocky Mountain Camp-n-Curl SAVE THE DATE May 2-4, 2025. T-shirts, patches, banquet, Oh my! Registration opens in 2025.
5. Oval Curling Club
   • The Hive Bonspiel SAVE THE DATE April 4-6, 2025. Check back here for registration detail coming soon.
6. San Francisco Bay Area Curling Club
   • Ugly Sweater Spiel December 14-15, 2025. If you like curling a latke, yule have a great time at this two-day spiel filled with seasonal cheer, curling, and your finest holiday duds and yarns. Plus, on Saturday night, we’re throwing a Club Holiday Social open to all (included with registration in the spiel)
   • Oaktown 5 and Under SAVE THE DATE February 7-9, 2025. Curlers with five years or less of curling experience will enjoy friendly competition, broomstacking, and more! (Note: not a national qualifier).
   • Bunny Spiel SAVE THE DATE April 19, 2025. Join us for an egg-citing afternoon of curling, bunny hops, and scavenger hunts!
   • USWCA All American SAVE THE DATE May 10, 2025. The USWCA All-American Minispiel is designed to foster a greater awareness of women’s curling.
   • The Ball Bonspiel SAVE THE DATE June 20-22, 2025. Walk the walk at our annual LGBTQ+ bonspiel!
   • Sparkler Spiel SAVE THE DATE June 28, 2025. You’ll have a blast with fellow curlers at our last event of the season! And don’t miss the post-spiel BBQ.
7. Silicon Valley Curling Club
   • Silicon Valley Bonspiel SAVE THE DATE May 23-25, 2025. Join us for a memorable weekend of curling, camaraderie, and the most fun you’ll ever have at a raffle!
8. Wine Country Curling Club
   • The Barrel Bonspiel SAVE THE DATE March 14-16, 2025 (tentative). Details coming soon!
