The President is a Board officer on the MoPac Board of Directors.
The President is tasked with general supervision of the affairs of the Association. This makes the description of job duties a bit difficult to capture. There are certain enumerated tasks the President must undertake:
A. The President must attend all quarterly Board and Member Representative meetings.
B. The President shall preside at all meetings of the Association, and at all meetings of the Board of Directors and the Representative Assembly.
C. The President sits on the Western Director Selection Committee.
D. The President chairs the International Tankard Selections Committee.
E. The President chairs the Tim Irish Award Selections Committee.
F. The President appoints and serves on committees, as necessary.
G. The President shall perform all duties that shall be prescribed by the Board of Directors from time to time.
H. The President is compelled to abstain from all votes of the Board and Representative Assembly except in the event of a tie vote.
The President may not serve as a Club Representative for their home club.
As an officer, the President is subject to a background check.
The President must maintain their current SafeSport Certification.
The President must be a member in good standing of a club which sits within the MoPac Club Representative Membership.
The President shall serve a 2 year term and shall not serve for no more than 3 consecutive terms.
