The USCA will likely hold the first US Arena National Championships next summer. The committee has received three excellent hosting bids and is in the process of finalizing a site and date. This will be the first event of its kind dedicated to helping develop arena competitive curling. The goal for the future is to open it to one team from every club, though this year will be a small test year to gauge interest and will likely only have spots for 16 men’s and 16 women’s team. Details on how those teams will be determined (along with many, many other details) will likely be decided during the Arena Committee Meeting at the USCA September Board Meeting (Sept 13-16) in Minneapolis. This will likely be a 4-day event (Thursday – Sunday morning). Stay tuned for more details and please keep space for this on your curling calendar!
